The Gospel

This will be the story of Jesus Christ: Jesus was born just like any kid. the only thing diffrent about him was that he was born in a manger in a stable. Because there was no room for baby Jesus in the inns. While Jesus was growing up, Jesus never did anything wrong. He was perfect. When Jesus became a man he started to talk to people about himself and his Father, God. But some bad men hated Jesus. They tied him up and brought him to Pilate their master. Pilate brought Jesus out in front of many people. He also took a prisonor name Brabaus. "Who do you want me to set free? Barabaus? or Jesus?" "Barabaus!" they answered. "What should I do with Jesus?" Pilate asked. "Crucify Him!" they shouted. "Why? What wrong has He done?" asked Pilate. "Crucify Him!" they shouted at the tops of their lungs. So Pilate let Brabaus free, but had Jesus whipped. Then he nailed Jesus to a cross. Jesus stayed there for three days and on the third day a man buried Him in a tomb. But Jesus did not stay dead forever. He rose again. And He is in heaven right now waiting for us to come to Him. But we can only come to Him if we belive that He died for us. Then we can go to heaven with Him when we die. And that is the Gospel. And that is what the Bible talks about the most too.

My Testimony

I am in a family that loves and believes in Jesus. My parents and my sisters and brothers went to church every Sunday at Saylorville Baptist Church. I wanted to be like my family, so I thought since I was part of my family I was going to Heaven too. I didn't know that I had to admit that I was a sinner and believe that Jesus died for me. One day, while I was sitting in church listening to Pastor Pat, I realized that I had to admit that I was a sinner and believe in Jesus to go to Heaven. So when we got home, I asked Daddy about that. He talked to me about Jesus. We sat down and prayed to God. I confessed my sins and told Him that I believe. After that I felt free. I felt that Jesus forgave me and He took my sins away from me. So now I am going to Heaven!

The Bible story character(s) of the day:

The Bible story character of the day is going to be someone very close to God. (that is not a good hint because almost every christan in the Bible is.) Another hint is that the character has very long hair. (though the answer is not a girl) The character is: SAMSON (he deserves bold print doesn't he? Read Judges 13-17) Samson was a very brave man wasn't he?

The Bible verse of the day

"The grass withers and the flowers Text Colourfall, But the word of ourText Colour Text ColourGOD stands forever. Isaiah 40:8" I learned that verse in my school and it ROCKS!!Bold

The Bible verse of the day

The Bible verse of the day is this: "Be stong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you." That's a verse that gives you new bravery and courage. Isn't that wonderful?

the Bible story character(s) of the day:

The Bible story character of the day is going to be someone that is who I think is the best writer in the Bible! The character is: David (Read any Psalm you like! David wrote all the good ones! :) David was probably very young (maybe little older than I am!) when he wrote these poems. But boy, is he a great writer!!!!!!!!!!

The Bible verse of the day:

The Bible verses of the day are these: "Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and moon, praise him all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created. He set them in place forever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away. Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all the ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and maidens, old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and heavens. He has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his saints, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the Lord. Psalm 148" I'm sorry if this was annoying that there was so much repeating, the praise all you....praise all you....praise all you....... and all but isn't it interesting to read the different things it says? It was fun typing this because it's so interesting. Praise the Lord!

The Bible verse of the day:

The Bible verse of the day is: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9" I was reading my devotions and I recognized this verse! It's a great verse isn't it?

The Bible story character(s) of the day:

The Bible story character of the day is going to be someone very close to God. So close in fact, God even talked to him! (Thousands of times I think) The character is: a surprise! I will give you three more hints and if you think you know who he is, look up Exodus 33:11a
The three hints are: He can use God to outwit magicians. He lived a very long time. In the Bible, he appears in four books of the Bible. (Can you guess what they are?)

The Bible verse of the day:

The Bible verse of the day is this: "Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.' John 20:29" This is one of my favorite verses, and I think many followers of Christ think that this is one of their favorite verses too.

The Bible story character(s) of the day:

The Bible story character of the day is going to be someone who was one of the bravest women in history. The character is: Esther. (Read Esther 2 if you'd like, then skip to 4 and read to 7) Esther was fearful of her life the first time she heard the news of Haman's plot. I would be too perhaps. But God was working in her heart so much and she had so much faith in Him, that she went and risked her life (which even so would have killed her if she didn't) to save the Jews.

The Bible verse of the day:

The Bible verse of the day is this: "Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, That it may go well with you. Jeremiah:23" This verse is telling us to obey God always. What a great reminder!

the Bible story character(s) of the day:

The Bible story character of the day is going to be someone who trusted God entirely. The character is: Abraham. (Read Genesis 22:1-19) Abraham loved and trusted God enough to kill his own dear son. WOW!!! what faith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Bible verse of the day:

The Bible verse of the day is this: "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and being certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1" This is my verse at my Sunday school, DIVE. I have to memorize it. I think you probably should too, it's such a great verse!!

The Bible verse of the day:

The Bible verse of the day is this: "I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will sing praise. I will be careful to lead a blameless life--when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with a blameless heart. Psalm 101:1-2" We must try to lead a blameless life. And don't forget to read your Bible and sing to God every day!
